A Child's Intuition.
A space where imagination meets intuition.
Tiny 4-year-old hands of my daughter’s hover over a village of forget-me-nots. She whispers stories that come to her mind as we sit with them; what she hears them say, what she hears her ancestors say, what nearby animals want to add to the story. I deeply believe what she shares.
A child’s ability to connect with nature is raw & unhinged in their ability to speak a non-verbal language of cues, emotions & intuition. It’s extraordinarily primal. It isn’t filtered through any lens of self-doubt or rigidity— it is pure & honest. We were all this way at one point in our lives.
This kind of raw space is a time in childhood I’m constantly in awe of; A space where imagination meets intuition, where believing becomes seeing. The beauty of growing together with presence is that when we give space to it, nurture & protect it, there is real freedom there.
Do you remember a time when you were little and something you felt you were drawn to or good at seemed too silly to continue? Listening to children in this way doesn’t require being a parent, it requires setting aside our own bias of what can be true & adding value & honoring a child’s perception. Their language beyond our spoken word is the key to their becoming. It is a place where they feel safe & seen in discovering their unique purpose.
My kids have asked to sit with me for every single flower essence for years now. I remember a time when I was making a forget-me-not essence with my son when he was just 4 (he’s 7 now) and he requested we make a tincture of poppy when I was done. He was going through big experiences about his birth story that some couldn’t fathom a 4 year old would remember or feel those memories. Just sitting with poppy, chamomile & forget-me-not instigated beautiful moments of transformation for us.
In a couple days, this Tuesday, a new product will arrive. It is my first real collaboration with my daughter and it’s called Green Gardens First Aid Mist. Child-led, adult-formulated & crafted.
I’d love to hear from you. What have you learned from the children around you? What have you learned from the child you once were?

I love that you acknowledge and have such a depth of understanding with the purity of looking at things through the child’s eyes and emotions. Yes there’s a lot they could teach us if we just open her eyes and open our minds and heart …
and listen.
